This standalone software has
robust communication capability. It's primary use is a
direct connect
communication solution to a computer. A flexible RS232 protocol utilizes existing communications ports on the PC
but DOES NOT
support remote control / remote access activity. Direct operator intervention
is needed during every phase of the data
communication session. It contains many of the basic characteristics
of our more advanced E-Lan
network product. Note that a fourteen day
evaluation copy is available for download from this site. Click on the
"Download" button at the bottom of this page and
then click the Win-ECOM software button.
This is a portable memory storage
and communications device designed for shop use. It features a rugged case, simple operation, and
multiple configurations allowing it
to communicate with various devices, code
types, handshaking, and baud rates. It utilizes a USB Memory stick
for its data storage.
Truly the simplest device for moving CNC data in the shop.
The acronym is short for "Behind the Tape Reader". This interface is used
for older Numerical Controls equipped
with punched tape readers with limited or no memory capability. The BTR interface
enables a computer to download program data
electronically thru an RS-232C communications interface. This
interface eliminates the use of a tape reader and the
multitude of devices and problems associated with them.
A DNC system improves
data handling characteristics while reducing labor costs with regard
to CNC communications.
An effective CNC data administration tool, it uses a
format
of program names conducive with part numbers, revisions, or design numbers
making them easily identifiable in the computer. Industry standard security protocol prohibits
unauthorized access to the network. The existing CNC console
is used eliminating the need for
additional terminals in the shop. Connection configurations
can be a combination of "Wired" Ethernet (CAT5 cables)
and 'Wireless".
Monitoring is an add-on feature to the E-Lan DNC system that enables the collection
of time based data from CNC
equipment. It provides current status statistics on
every machine connected to the system to provide a clear indication of
productivity using REAL TIME numbers. Collected information can be
used to analyze or verify quotes,
operating costs, labor performance, tooling performance, and equipment
performance.
